Agra reported the highest single-day spike in coronavirus cases on Saturday with 43 cases pushing the tally in the city to 2716. With Covid-19 cases soaring, doctors and administration officials are urging recovered patients to come forward to donate plasma. So far, two dozen plasma donors have come forward, including three people who have donated twice.
Agra has reported 107 deaths due to coronavrius so far. Plasma donation is being seen as a potent weapon in the fight against the infection.Speaking to India Today, Agra DM Prabhu N Singh said that the SN Medical College is conducting plasma therapy trials on serious patients under the observation of the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and so far 24 patients have received plasma, out of which 6 have fully recovered and went home.
