Biden and Harris go on the attack
As we get ready to hear Donald Trump's keynote speech, his Democratic rivals have been accusing him of incompetence and failure. Presidential candidate Joe Biden accused Mr Trump of refusing to acknowledge there was a racial injustice problem in America. His running mate, Kamala Harris, condemned the president's handling of the coronavirus outbreak, and the cuts he's made to government health programmes.
Trump has been hitting back on Twitter, saying the Democrats will "allow rampant crime" in major cities like Portland, Oregon.
